Xel-Há as a Social Responsible company participated in the campaign “Cancun dresses in Pink” (Cancún se viste de Rosa) organized by Grupo Desafío as a “pink walk” to create awareness to help fight cancer.

Distinguished government authorities, a large number of participants and representatives of Xel-Há attended the event in benefit of Grupo Desafío. The “pink walk” started at 5:00 pm at the gate of CUAM High school on Bonampak Avenue.

Xel-Há had the recognition of being one of the main leaders of this important cause, Mrs. Narcedalia Martín de González, President of DIF (Integral Development for the Family of the State of Quintana Roo) showed her solidarity giving the pink Xel-Há T-shirts that were given to all participants of the walk. The closing point was the Bull Fight Ring of Cancun.

The Environmental Guardians program has been carried out for almost one year in elementary schools, offering children a message of ecological awareness. The Natural Wonder Xel-Há has delivered 3000 Environmental Guardian cards to children who also received a diploma with the Guardian Oath and a basic entrance ticket to the Park.

The Environmental Guardians program aims to create an ecological culture among the new generations. The goal is to reach all the schools in Cancun and Playa del Carmen by the end of this year.

Cancun, Quintana Roo. February 4th.-Collaborators of Xel-Há went out early to collect as much money as possible for the “24 hours for Cancun’s firefighters.

During the day, they visited several travel agencies and companies to ask for support, and it was a truly gratifying experience since everybody was aware of the accident that had occurred a few days ago in Cancun.

Finally, they attended the main event at Plaza Forum, where many people gathered to support the firefighters. They made an exhibition of their work and even danced with the tourists and people who attended the event to help and have fun.

The event was attended by Arch. Constandse, one of the major promoters of this Project. At the end of the event, he briefly paid homage to the firefighters who had recently died while fighting a fire.

The collaborators of Xel-Há and their relatives declared they expressed their sorrow for the loss of the firefighters´ families and they actively joined the cause.

Public Accountant Carlos Manuel Joaquín González, Mayor of Solidaridad and Lic. Francisco Córdova Lira, Executive Director of Xel-Há Park awarded prizes to the winners of the second facades contest.

The mayor Carlos Manuel Joaquín González and Lic. Francisco Córdova Lira both revealed the importance of the Chemuyil Project as an example to follow for private businesses and the government.

Cd. Chemuyil, January 18th. Around 7 pm, authorities of the municipal government of Solidaridad, led by the current mayor, C.P. Carlos Joaquín González, met with representatives of Xel-Há, led by Lic. Francisco Córdova Lira, Executive Director and main promoter of Chemuyil Project.

On January 7th, collaborators of Xel-Há joined efforts to make children happy in the communities of Lázaro Cárdenas and other popular districts of Cancun.

The adventure began early in the morning when the caravan of presents visited such places as Lirios, Lorenzo, Martiniano, Agua Azul, Benito Juárez, Región 101 and others. In each one of them, the Xel-Ha collaborators enthusiastically gave away the presents the Three wise Men had sent for each child of these communities.

This task was done together with TV Azteca, as part of the 12th edition of Jugueton: “A smile and a present”; that gathered 13 millions 295 thousand 615 toys and smiles.
This way Xel-Há confirms its commitment as a Socially Responsible Company, by stressing the importance of making all the children of Mexico happy.
