Thrilled to enjoy the rich beauty of the Riviera Maya and join part of a worldwide effort to protect our planet, renowned singer and TV host Mimi planted a Chacah seedling in Xel-Ha Natural Wonder, during a brief break between her musical projects and her participation as jury on Sony Entertainment Television’s Latin American Idol.

 The Monterrey-born celebrity visited the Chacah Garden, and toegether with her niece Juliana Smaldoni, planted the seedling in the same space as many other famous singer such as Paulina Rubio, José José, and Enrique Guzman, to name a few, had made their mark before. “Plant a tree, have a child, write a book…one out of three isn’t that bad. A chacah is life, nature is life, let’s sow life!” was written by Mimi when asked to commorate the special moment. Russian heavyweight Oleg Maskaev left his mark in this heavenly spot of the Mexican Caribbean, planting a tree in the Chacah Garden in Xel-Ha Natural Wonder, and admitted he was impressed by the beauty of this unique scenario.

After participating in the popular “History in Cancun” series of matches, in which he fell to the nigerian Samuel Peters during the sixth round, Oleg Maskaev decided he would be better off visiting some of Quintana Roo’s tourist attractions, accompanied by his wife and three daughters.

 Though he preferred not to comment on his future plans, Maskaev showed content upon sharing this visit with his loved ones. “Planting a tree means one has not lived one’s life in vain, Godbless,” wrote Maskaev, once champion of the World Boxing Council, in the gallery of celebrities who have left their thoughts in this beautiful haven of nature. As the culminating moment to the celebration of his fiftieth anniversary of artistic career, the renowned Enrique Guzman, Latin rock-and-roll icon, took a recreational trip around the Mexican Caribbean, and took time to visit Xel-Ha Natural Wonder together with his wife Rosalba Welter, and son Enrique Guzman Junior.

During his stay at Xel-Ha, Enrique Guzman planted a Chacah seedling, at the garden where more than 80 celebrities from sports, arts and culture have contributed to the biological wealth of the park while engraving transcendent messages for the care and conservation of our planet.

Self-proclaimed nature lover, the singer-songwriter Reyli Barba, from Chiapas, Mexico, visited Xel-Ha Natural Wonder and planted a seedling in the “Chacah Garden” in an touching event during which he sang to his new child and christened it “Good Boy”.

Glistening with emotion, Reyli wrote the following in the celebrity visitors’ log: “You were born today, good boy, by a sea of joy. Daily I will pray for the growth of your roots of kindness.” He then drew a triangle in the damp earth, around the stem of the newly planted tree, a symbol of the light that would guide it through its existence. Xel-Há Park is proud of creating a magical place in the heart of the jungle where we can all share our commitment to nature. Many celebrities have participated in this important project by planting trees. Today it is the anniversary of reforesting Xel-Há and the famous guests that will be visiting the Chacahs Garden are Enrique Rocha, Analia Arruti, Annette Michel, Guadalupe Loaeza, Nancy Contreras, Hannia Novell, Iñaki Manero, Alberto Aguilar, Manuel Youshimatz, Diana Bracho, Ana Maria Alvarado, Luis Hernández and shortly José Luis Cuevas

In addition to this important celebration, the Land of Huh or Bicycles Station will be inaugurated. When this 850 m. long path was built, 5000 plants were rescued and are now conserved at Xel-Há’s Tree Nursery.

The idea to carry out this $1,100,000.00 pesos project was born in 2005, but it had not been able to conclude due to the past hurricane seasons. Today it is now a beautiful reality.

With ecological attractions such as Chacahs Garden and Land of Huh, Xel-Há Park grows in options for all visitors in search for a responsible contact with nature.
