Last Tuesday and Wednesday, December 18th and 19th respectively, were the dates assigned by the Public Relations departments of Xel-Ha and Xcaret, to celebrate Christmas breakfasts for over one hundred press reporters.

From as early as 8:30 in the morning, representatives of the press and other mass media began arriving at the several halls in which the breakfast events took place. Cancun held its event at the Hotel Radisson convention hall, near the downtown area. Here, one could enjoy an amusing and pleasurable mood thanks to the attendance of press, radio and television media.

In the same way, representatives of mass media in Playa del Carmen were entertained in a joyful and amusing environment, breaking fast in the Gran Porto Salon of the Gran PortoReal Hotel, located on Playa del Carmen’s 5th Avenue.

Of course, the Great Gift Raffle amongst the our guests was a must, and a few most fortunate were the happy winners in this lottery. Notwithstanding, everyone was a winner for Xel-Há and Xcaret, and all guests received an exquisite and delightful souvenir.

Time passed in an active and informative manner, with guests sharing the most relevant current events and pausing occasionally to wish each other season’s greetings. Without a shadow of a doubt, our guests bonded to wonderful extent, showing heartfelt fellowship amongst themselves from the very minute they arrived.

Our guests had an excellent time and enormously enjoyed this breakfast, organized in gratitude to each and every one of them, for their priceless support towards our parks. Without their reports, comments, and announcements, a park such as Xel-Ha could not possibly boast its privileged level of popularity and attendance among tourist sites in the state of Quintana Roo.

It was an event of great relevance amidst the press and of enormous importance to our parks, being the way in which Xel-Ha and Xcaret acknowledged the performance and professionalism that the information media represent in society, which when brought together, create the fabric of ongoing dreams following the visitors’ stays at our park.

For the third year running, Xel-Ha undertakes this house-painting contest for the benefit of Chemuyil, which has, ever since its first edition, been vital in enhancing not only the urban landscape, but the creativity and kinship of the community as well.

The brimming expectations of hundreds of local contestants and members of the press, built up enormously during the last few days, was at last abated with the decision of the jury, constituted by members of Xel-Ha’s Executive Committee and Chemuyil community representatives, this past Monday, December 17th.

The honors of the opening statements were left to Ricardo Saenz Morales, biologist, manager in charge of Sustainable Development at Xel-Ha, who, in mentioning that this program is barely in its third consecutive year, stated his surprise at the renewed and intense interest shown by the local inhabitants, plainly pouring their best efforts and all their talent into painting the façades for their houses. The competition was astonishingly close, making it very difficult for the jury to select its winners.

Following the presentation regarding the enterprises undertaken by Xel-Ha for the benefit of Chemuyil community during the last ten years, and amidst the explosive excitement on behalf of the townspeople, the jury’s decisions were finally announced.
