called “Under the Sea”, that had as special guests the most distinguished travel agencies and wedding coordinators who enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the facilities of the Natural Wonder Xel-Há.

The main objective of this reunion was to offer Xel-Há as a new option for all the DMC’s of night events and theme parties, in an original way.

The guests were welcomed at the Chula Vista Restaurant by José Antonio Alamo, Groups Manager of Xel-Há, who was an excellent host and offered a welcome cocktail to inaugurate the event. Once the guests were seated in the fabulous lounge decorated areas with an underwater theme, and an excellent lighting, a delicious presentation of appetizers prepared specially for the occasion was offered to everyone.

The guests also enjoyed a wonderful view of the Inlet while experiencing an exciting evening.

After dinner, guests danced at the beat of the music that was played by a special musical group that attended the event.

The event was a success and all the DMC’s were very happy to learn about this new project. Xel-Há’s sales team has committed with them once more to offer them better options for sale.

Xel-Há and Tulum have always been essential places to visit even before Quintana Roo was a state. This combination of culture takes us back to our roots and to the Mayan past. To feel the beauty of Tulum’s Mayan architecture and the freedom of enjoying nature at Xel-Há Park, offer us the answer why both of these sites are wonders of Mexico.

The state of Quintana Roo is one of the most important tourist destinations of the country and worldwide. In addition, the tour Tulum-Xel-Há is one of visitor’s favorites.

So when the idea came out to create a contest to choose the wonders of Mexico, there was no doubt in selecting Tulum and Xel-Há as wonders of the state.

On September 25th, the winners of the contest 13 Wonders of Mexico which form a select group of Natural Wonders and Wonders Created by Man were announced.

Today it is an honor for Xel-Há and Tulum, both from the State of Quintana Roo, to be part of the group Natural Wonders and Wonders Created by Man of Mexico.

In the past days, Xel-Há received the award of the best practice of corporate social responsibility by its activities of Meliponiculture and the melipona bee ceremony granted by the Mexican Center of Philanthropy (CEMEFI). This award is given to businesses that show actions through 120 indicators in four different areas of corporate social responsibility such as: corporate ethics, life quality in the company, community service and environmental service.

This award is given to companies that promote activities with their original elements. Meliponiculture and the melipona bee ceremony have been carried out at Xel-Há for seven consecutive years. A symbolic and mystical encounter of Mayan traditions is prepared every six months under the full moon.

The Mayan bee is originally from America and has the particularity of not having a sting, which makes it very docile but vulnerable towards depredators such as ants.
