CANCUN, RIVIERA MAYA; AUGUST 2009.- A group of young volunteers native of Madagascar, Korea, Canada, France, Japan and Germany, sponsored by Vive Mexico C.A. and the UNESCO, made support activities to community in Chemuyil and knew the sustainable tourist recreation model, of natural park Xel-Ha, as part of activities of their visit in Quintana Roo.

Volunteers, whose are less than 25 years old, renovated the basketball court in Chemuyil and shared with children and young people from the community where Xel-Ha has worked on during several years in order to hold community development through different programs to enhance health, education, urban image, public services, and the responsible domestic waste management, as well as care of environment.

Violeta Velazquez, International Liaison Coordinator of Vive Mexico C.A. Cancun, highlighted that community projects where young people of different parts of world take part, have increased every year because of sense of solidarity is increasing too and for this is important to generate more plans to make the most of people who is willing to help another ones. Recognized labour done by Xel-Ha in Chemuyil in order to make a community model in Quintana Roo.

On his part, Oscar Miranda, volunteer group leader, said that during their 17 days staying in Quintana Roo, the young patrol in beach to turtles and nests monitoring, public cleaning in surroundings Kabah Park areas, in Cancun, and cultural exchange with Alfredo V. Bonfil community.
