Quality service for three consecutive years H Program Insignia is Handed to Xel-Ha
Posted by: dvillacis in Awards and acknowledgementsCANCÚN, RIVIERA MAYA; QUINTANA ROO; JULY 2009.- The natural park Xel-Ha received the H Program insignia from Felix Gonzalez Canto, Governor of Quintana Roo, this insignia certifies hygiene, confidence and safety on preparing food. This award was received by Elizabeth Lugo Monjarras, Xel-Ha Executive Director.
“For the third consecutive year Xel-ha, considered one of the main attractions in Cancun and Riviera Maya, gets the H Program insignia, guaranteeing ours visitors the best quality in all dining facilities of the Natural Wonder”, stated Elizabeth Lugo, Executive Director of Xel-Há Park.
Quintana Roo has the highest percentage of facilities awarded with H Program insignia and that is a synonymous of quality service which guarantees safety and confidence in the destination.
During the ceremony, governor Felix Arturo Gonzalez Canto emphasized; “Riviera Maya has around 70 percent of occupancy rate, getting 232 of 237 awards handed, recording the highest volume of occupancy in destiny”. This highlights every action taken, like H Program insignia, in order to guarantee the tourism growth in our State.
The ceremony was also attended by Sara Latife Chavez, State Tourism Secretary, who expressed the importance and added value this awards provide to the industry.
H Program is an insignia handed by Tourism Secretary and endorsed by Health Secretary to food and beverages fixed establishments that comply with Hygiene and Quality standards established by the Mexican Standard NMX-F-605 NORMEX 2004. Those standards make tours operators sure that their clients are staffed under the best quality criteria.
Analyzed criteria in audit are: Food Reception, Stoking, Chemical substances management, Refrigeration and Frizzing, Kitchen area, Food preparation, Service area, Water and Ice, Collaborators restrooms, Garbage management, Plague control, Personnel and Bar.
