Successful momys express their experience and discover their talent in writing
Posted by: dvillacis in News featureMaria Paula Cal Pech, Elaine Pinheiro Ramos and Haide Serrano Soto are the first, second and third place winners of the creative writing contest “The experience of being a mother”, announced by Xel-Há, Natural Wonder, in order to recognize who, in addition of doing an excellent labor at home, has talent to express their experiences through the written word.
The event, counted on a crowded participation of mothers, variedly ages, who by means of their compositions described the one of a kind experience of procreating, taking care and watching a child grow, as part of the very same circle of life that provides the human race with so many satisfactions.
Among the participants there were mothers of several children, mothers of special children, single and widow mothers, mothers with intense work schedules, and they all spoke their view on how their lives have been enriched by this event.
Maria Paula Cal Pech, 66, who has raised 7 children practically by herself and her greatest pride is to have taken them through; today, all of them working professionals spend weekends with her, because family union is a value they always cultivated.
Elaine Pinheiro was born in Brazil, but her husband and her daughter are Mexican. Although she has been a mother for quite a little time, the experience she has lived, she states, have been so deep that she has a new vision of life.
Haide Serrano, in the other hand, is a mother who has faced motherhood alone. She believes her daughter’s support has been the key to both of them getting by and sharing unforgettable moments of life.
Furthermore, an honorific mention was granted to Mrs. Nancy Gutierrez, who enjoys writing what she considers the most important moments in her life, in order to share them with her children when they are older.
