By seventh consecutive year, the natural park Xel-Ha received the 2009 award as One of the Best Companies to Work in Mexico, which is granted by Great Place to Work Institute Mexico, as a result of its perseverance in order to guarantee an excellent work environment.

The work done by Xel-Ha for several years has been setting standard to other companies in Quintana Roo in order to create harmonic work environments that, in addition, produce positively in a responsible and significance work culture by means of good relations between collaborator and directives in which credibility, respect, justice, pride and confidence have special relevance.

Some of Xel-Ha collaborators are precisely, who testify about this achievement:

When he was 46, Eusebio May Ku decided to leave his common plot in Petcacab, Quintana Roo, to seek fortune in Tulum. His choice, though difficult, came from the need to get a better life. Thanks to his good work in masonry and painting, but mostly to his attitude and responsibility towards his job, today is one of the quality leaders who collaborates in Xel-Ha to contribute in making Xel-Ha a highly productive and competitive touristic company.

“I am so glad working here, Xel-Ha is a family to us and I am very happy because my work is valued and recognized” stated Mr. Eusebio while speak about his plans of acquiring a house to share with his wife, now his two daughters are married. He has been working in Xel-Ha for just four years now but he feels satisfied what he has achieved and above all, happy for taking part of the team through he can send out his experience and willingness to do well with others collaborators of the Natural Wonder.

On the other hand, Leonardo Espinosa Casanova, has just turned five years working in Xel-Ha. He thinks the company has excellent benefits and a perfect work environment. He emphasizes the opportunity he has been given to continue preparing himself: “I was studying and I had scholarship, I am waiting for the next term to continue studying a degree in system engineering; we are always supported by the company in order to continue our training”. Previously, he worked with aluminum, now he is in charged of the bicycles area and is part of the quality leaders. Particularly he highlights as important benefits: uniforms, food, transportation, massages –in a special palapa besides the beach- and the great work environment.

Jose Alfredo Jimenez, born in Tabasco, affirms: “I feel very happy since I work here, it is a company that gave me the opportunity, I have it all, and my work discipline is why I am here…” He is a services van operator, and he says to feel very happy since he joined to the “Blue Family” three years ago.

José Alfredo summarizes Xel-Ha’s work environment in this way: “We can trust in people we work for, feel proud for the job done, and enjoy along the people one works with…Can we ask for more?”
