Maria Paula Cal Pech, Elaine Pinheiro Ramos and Haide Serrano Soto are the first, second and third place winners of the creative writing contest “The experience of being a mother”, announced by Xel-Há, Natural Wonder, in order to recognize who, in addition of doing an excellent labor at home, has talent to express their experiences through the written word.

The event, counted on a crowded participation of mothers, variedly ages, who by means of their compositions described the one of a kind experience of procreating, taking care and watching a child grow, as part of the very same circle of life that provides the human race with so many satisfactions.

CANCUN-RIVIERA MAYA; MEXICO.-Xel-Há Meliponary framed a moving ceremony where gratitude for the harvest was offered. Lead by the mayan priest Pedro May Canul and witnessed by the famous Mexican singer a href=”http://orbita.starmedia.com/~rodrigocontreras/Ana_Barbara.htm” target=”_blank”>Ana Bárbara.
as special guest.

The “Xunaan Cab” or Meliponini Bee Honey Harvesting Ceremony is celebrated twice a year in Xel-Ha, in June and December, on full moon days. A Mayan priest assists to the Meliponary and leads a ritual where he thanks Mayan deities for their blessings and bees fertility. The distinctive characteristic of the Meliponini Bee or Mayan Bee is that they have no sting and the honey they produce has a high nutritional and medical value.

Ana Barbara and her family were present in the different acts of the ceremony in “The Altar”, “The Meliponary” where bee populations are placed, “The Harvest” as well as the prayer, having as background music the Maya Pax or “Sound of God”.

Xcaret y Xel-Ha parks, according to Federal and Local Government request, agree with their collaborators to an emergency plan in order to maintain their labor plant on this crisis time for the national tourist industry.

Yesterday, the Management Council of the Xcaret and Xel-ha parks invited their collaborators to an extraordinary meeting to state a supportive agreement and keep the 2,300 direct employees the parks have.

By seventh consecutive year, the natural park Xel-Ha received the 2009 award as One of the Best Companies to Work in Mexico, which is granted by Great Place to Work Institute Mexico, as a result of its perseverance in order to guarantee an excellent work environment.

The work done by Xel-Ha for several years has been setting standard to other companies in Quintana Roo in order to create harmonic work environments that, in addition, produce positively in a responsible and significance work culture by means of good relations between collaborator and directives in which credibility, respect, justice, pride and confidence have special relevance.
