Perimeter wall inaugurated for Chemuyil’s Children’s Garden
Posted by: dvillacis in Social BenefitsWhile professing Xel-Ha’s commitment to projects allowing the development of Chemuyil Community, a strong mission since 1997, Executive Director for the Natural Wonder, Elizabeth Lugo Monjarras, cut the inaugural ribbon for the perimeter wall of the Children’s Garden for this community.
Thanks to this new public work endorsed by Xel-Ha with a $65 thousand MXP donation, preschool alumni will enjoy a safer stay at the Children’s Garden, since the property was previously only fenced with wire mesh, which was already in an advanced state of deterioration.
The inaugural act coincided with the children’s graduation ceremony; these young students who will be duly beginning their primary school education next term. During the event, the national flag was honoured, with songs and typical dances ensuing.
The event was presided over by Elviera Mena, the campus headmistress, Ricardo Saenz, Xel-Ha’s sustainable development manager, Josefina Galvan, head of Social Well-Being in Chemuyil, Pedro Cruz Lopez, schoolteacher, and Raquel Lopez, school supervisor for zone 024.
