Xel-Ha gives us the chance to grow roots, and never die
Posted by: dvillacis in Chacah's GardenAndres Roemer, the well-known television host for the show “Entre lo Público y lo Privado” (Between Public and Private) on Canal 40, visited Xel-Ha during a brief hiatus of projects in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, taking time to plant a seedling in the Chacah Garden. Evidently excited over the event, he remarked “I have three marvellous children, and I will name this Chacah ‘Davalex’ in their honour: David, Valeria, and Alejandro.”
Roemer, concerning the event, commented to the press: “What is the meaning of planting a tree. The significance of letters engraved in stone? More importantly, doing so in the soul of these trees of kindness, in this earthly paradise: Xel-Ha. It means spreading roots, transcending, never dying, creating. For this opportunity, purpose of life that regenerates, reinvents, and allows us to play with perpetuation, with the eternal. For myself and my children: Davalex, gratitude. “Today I plant a tree, tomorrow I publish a book, and I hope I don’t have another child I’m not aware of…” he remarked jokingly while walking towards the Chacah Garden. The book he referred to is entitled “Por qué amamos el fútbol” (Why we love football) and will be presented Thursday, May 29th at the ITAM, although its official sales date is until June 3rd.
Andres Roemer has a bachelor’s degree in law and economics, a PhD in political science, and a masters degree in public administration, which has opened the doors to his being a professor at some of the best universities in Mexico and the world: Harvard, Berkeley, and the ITAM (Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico, by its initials in Spanish).
He also hosts the TV show “The Debate”, transmitted on Channel 40, and the soon-to-come “City of Ideas”, where illustrious young students will participate from different viewpoints and ideologies on the range of subjects that the show plans to cover.
