Cynthia Klitbo, who placed the role of ambitious Delia Ibarra on the recently concluded Mexican soap “Palabra de Mujer”, spent a few days of rest in the Riviera Maya, with her daughter Elisa, and enjoyed an incredible day at Xel-Há.

Klitbo, who has an impressive professional career as an actress on both the small and silver screens, remarked how she was going through one of the best times of her life, enjoying these moments with her daughter Elisa. Together they swam with dolphins, enjoyed the amazing scenarios in the inlet, lagoons, cenotes and caves, and relished delicious food.

Once the news was heard, it rapidly spread throughout the small community of 1,200 inhabitants like a rumour of something unbelievable, but with the ripping fuel of hope for the minimal possibility of actually coming true: Quintana Roo’s Tigers, the celebrated baseball team, was indeed visiting Chemuyil’s younger population on April 30th to commemorate Children’s Day.

Expectation was so great, that when the dream finally came true, the youngsters could not find enough ways to preserve the moment: those best prepared took their baseballs to be autographed, others received signatures on their notebooks, school uniforms, even on their own arms and legs.

Children and youths from Chemuyil, Quintana Roo, were invited to watch a professional league game courtesy of the state’s professional league baseball team, the Tigers, in an opportunity that was for many, their first time in a actual baseball stadium. The Tigers were pitted against the Minatitlan Oilers (Petroleros de Minatitlán) and struggled to victory by a single run at the end of the ninth inning.

The Tiger’s board of directors, in alliance with Xel-Ha, made it possible for 120 children and youngsters from Chemuyil and Tulum to experience the feel of a professional game, in the Beto Avila Stadium, and enjoy a thrilling game, especially in the final moments, when the home team, Tigers, scored the winning run walking with loaded bases.  (more…)

The midfielder for Atlante’s “Iron Steeds”, Mariano Trujillo, along with his wife Tania Correa, and Ethan, their 3-year-old son, visited Xel-Ha and became part of the celebrity circle to have planted their tree in the Chacah Garden, adding his touching message: “Thank God, for allowing me to be part of the miracle of life.”

Truly excited over this event, enhanced by the approaching birth of his next son, Mariano Trujillo (player for Cancun’s home team since January), confessed to his happiness surrounding this moment in his life, claiming to be blessed with time to enjoy his family in beautiful surroundings such as Cancun and the Riviera Maya. Trujillo evidently took advantage of these surroundings, by using some of his spare time to get in contact with nature.
