Self-proclaimed nature lover, the singer-songwriter Reyli Barba, from Chiapas, Mexico, visited Xel-Ha Natural Wonder and planted a seedling in the “Chacah Garden” in an touching event during which he sang to his new child and christened it “Good Boy”.
Glistening with emotion, Reyli wrote the following in the celebrity visitors’ log: “You were born today, good boy, by a sea of joy. Daily I will pray for the growth of your roots of kindness.” He then drew a triangle in the damp earth, around the stem of the newly planted tree, a symbol of the light that would guide it through its existence.
This was the crowning event during the artist’s visit to Xel-Ha; since his arrival he expressed his enjoyment of the beauty surrounding this unsurpassable location, and occasionally canalized his delight in bursts of song that he called “soul-cleansing sounds”. He confessed to constantly using these brief chants to free himself of negative energies and recharge his positivism. According to Reyli, deference towards all living beings is vitally important, and every instant he feels the need to dedicate a word, a verse, or even to find inspiration in Nature, as the source for a new musical idea.
After planting his tree, Reyli took some time to greet fans and let his picture be taken, before setting off on Sea Trek, an underwater hike among the activities offered by Xel-Ha, which he considered to be “a magical experience”.
When asked about his musical career, Reyli declared he would be on tour throughout Mexico visiting cities such as Mazatlan, Monterrey, and Guadalajara after his concert at Playa del Carmen. He also declared to be currently producing a duet album in Spain, together with important names in the Latin and Hispanic music business, such as renowned Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquin Sabina.
