Xel-Há as a Social Responsible company participated in the campaign “Cancun dresses in Pink” (Cancún se viste de Rosa) organized by Grupo Desafío as a “pink walk” to create awareness to help fight cancer.

Distinguished government authorities, a large number of participants and representatives of Xel-Há attended the event in benefit of Grupo Desafío. The “pink walk” started at 5:00 pm at the gate of CUAM High school on Bonampak Avenue.

Xel-Há had the recognition of being one of the main leaders of this important cause, Mrs. Narcedalia Martín de González, President of DIF (Integral Development for the Family of the State of Quintana Roo) showed her solidarity giving the pink Xel-Há T-shirts that were given to all participants of the walk. The closing point was the Bull Fight Ring of Cancun.

The purpose of the event was not only to reach the finish line, but it also had a significant moment when all participants formed together a figure of a pink ribbon in one of the main downtown city squares, that represents the known symbol of fight against cancer.

The shape of the pink ribbon was the center of attention of the public that passed by. Great solidarity was shown by each one of the participants that attended the walk.

The “pink walk” began five years ago in Cancun and many celebrities, government representatives and Social Responsible Companies such as Xel-Há have joined this noble cause.
