The midfielder for Atlante’s “Iron Steeds”, Mariano Trujillo, along with his wife Tania Correa, and Ethan, their 3-year-old son, visited Xel-Ha and became part of the celebrity circle to have planted their tree in the Chacah Garden, adding his touching message: “Thank God, for allowing me to be part of the miracle of life.”
Truly excited over this event, enhanced by the approaching birth of his next son, Mariano Trujillo (player for Cancun’s home team since January), confessed to his happiness surrounding this moment in his life, claiming to be blessed with time to enjoy his family in beautiful surroundings such as Cancun and the Riviera Maya. Trujillo evidently took advantage of these surroundings, by using some of his spare time to get in contact with nature.

In a ceremony preceded by the president of Mexico’s Great Place to Work” Institute, Jorge Ferrari, Xel-Ha Natural Wonder received the 2008 acknowledgement as one of Mexico’s “top 100 firms to work in”, as well as a special distinction for its constancy over the last five years, maintaining a strong bond between its human resources, and consequently, an excellent work environment.
Xel-Ha is the only company in the whole of Quintana Roo to be awarded this acknowledgement successively since 2004, and its continuity has allowed other firms to value human resources as the most important asset of an organisation, as well as prove that this perspective for growth is necessary to give strength to Cancun and the Riviera Maya as a tourist destination.

“Incredible: a tree that heals burns. I had the honour of planting you and protecting you. Anywhere I may be in the world, a part of me will stay with you always.” This was the message left by footballer Alain Nkong, as his parting words after sowing a seedling in the Chacah Garden of Xel-Ha, Natural Wonder.
After a memorable performance with his national team of Senegal, which placed second at the African Nation’s Cup, Alain Nkong returned to Cancun and visited Xel-Há along with his wife and daughter, Mireille and Sofia, respectively. They were seen enjoying nature, swimming and snorkelling in the river and inlet, all three showing off remarkable physical fitness.

For Ronald Hood, Operation Manager of “Typhoon Lagoon”, one of the most important aquatic parks in Florida, the service quality offered in Xel-Ha was “an impressive experience” to the point in which he claimed “a trip to Mexico would simply be incomplete without visiting this Natural Wonder.
Ronald Hood addressed a letter to Visitor Attention manager, Miriam Vial, in which he expressed his enthusiasm upon visiting this unique attraction of the Riviera Maya as part of his Caribbean tour. “We had a great cruise and the highlight was the stop at your park,” said the Disney executive, who also gave a detailed an explanation of the services offered here.

In a ceremony led by the Federal Government’s Economy Secretary, Eduardo Sojo Garza-Aldape, the Mexican Centre for Philanthropy (CEMEFI), and the Alliance of Enterprises for Social Responsibility, for the seventh year running, bestowed upon Xel-Ha the acknowledgement as a Socially Responsible Enterprise 2008, thanks to the consistency it has shown in its social development programs, for the benefit of its workers and the communities within its whereabouts.
This award has a special relevance to Xel-Ha, being the only enterprise in all the state of Quintana Roo to receive this award every year since 2002, and which further commits the company to follow through with its projects, consolidating the achievements attained until this day. In all Mexico, only eight companies have received this merit during seven consecutive years.
